Глаголы и выражения - что можно делать с деньгами

Spend $$$ (on) smth (тратить на) – Last week I spent $100 on food and $20 on books.
Pay (for) smth (платить за) – I paid $ 200 for my new desk. (= it cost me $200)
Where do I have to pay for these things?
Cost (стоить) – My new desk cost me $200.
Lend (давать взаймы) – Could you lend me some money?
Borrow from smb (брать взаймы у) – Could I borrow some money from you?
Waste (тратить напрасно) – Parents often think that children waste their money on what they don’t need.
Save (up) (копить) – I’m saving (up) for a new bike.
Can’t afford (не мочь позволить себе) - I can’t afford to go on holiday this year.
The cost of living (прожиточный минимум) is very high in places like Sweden, but people still have a good standard of living (уровень жизни).
Buy smb off (откупаться от кого-то) – The company thought they had bought him off, but he took them to court and won.
Buy smth out (выкупить что-то) – They bought out their competitor’s share in the target company.
Buy smth up (скупать) – He bought up all the land in the surrounding area.
Cash in on smth (нажиться на чем-либо) – A lot of people are trying to cash in on the situation.
Save on smth (экономить на чем-либо) – He used to go to bed early to save on his electricity bills.
